Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature includes Communicative Disorders among its allied health professions. CINAHL covers 800 nursing and allied health journals and other selected biomedical journals. Use CINAHL for speech and language therapy from a clinical or medical perspective. It will retrieve articles not found in MEDLINE.

Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE covers over 4,800 biomedical journals dating back to 1964, with abstracts from 1985 to the present.
EBSCO's version provides links to full text articles from journals supplied by EBSCO from 1990 to the present. MEDLINE is also contained in the National Library of Medicine's PubMed database which includes "in-process" records for articles that have not yet been entered into MEDLINE. It also covers a broader range of journals, but does not provide full text articles.
