The MLA International Bibliography is an index covering literature, film, languages, linguistics, literary theory and criticism, dramatic arts, and folklore. Classical Greek and Latin literature are not covered. MLA indexes books, chapters in books, journal articles, and dissertations. You can limit your search to journal articles. Abstracts are not provided, but there are links to some full text articles.
