Complete indexing, abstracting and full text articles from core journals in humanities, social science, education, business, and general science. Popular, general-interest periodicals are also covered. Select Book Reviews from the Document Type menu. You may also select a broad subject area from the Subject menu.
Academic Search Complete from EBSCOhost
Locates reviews in popular magazines as well as in scholarly journals; many are provided full text. Search for the book title because the author's name is not indexed. To limit your search to book reviews, select Book Reviews as the Document Type in the Advanced Search mode.
Research Library from ProQuest
Similar to Ebsco's Academic Search Premier. To limit to book reviews, do an Advanced Search and type book review in one of the search boxes targeting the Subject field. Use another box for title words or author's last name. You can also search the full text of book reviews by targeting the Document Text.
Locating reviews in newspapers
ProQuest Newspapers from ProQuest
Provides full text for five newspapers: Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, and New York Times. You can limit your search to the New York Times Book Review or Magazine. This is the only database providing full text of the Wall Street Journal or the L.A. Times, and it provides more years of full text than Ebsco's Newspaper Source or Lexis Nexis on GALILEO.

Cites book reviews in newspapers such as the New York Times, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Washington Post, and Boston Globe. Use the Advanced Search mode to limit your search to book reviews. Does not provide the full text of most reviews, but they may be available in Lexis Nexis on GALILEO.
