Evidence Based Medicine Reviews

A collection of databases including: ACP Journal Club. Provides summaries of individual research articles collected and by the American College of Physicians and the British Medical Journal Group. Includes an enhanced abstract and a commentary on the value of the article for clinical practice. Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews provides full text systematic reviews of medical research. The Cochrane Collaboration collects and analyzes studies on particular questions of medical practice and summarizes what can be concluded from them. The database includes protocols for proposed reviews; you can limit your search to completed reviews. Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effectiveness (DARE) contains full text critical assessments of systematic reviews from a variety of medical journals. DARE is produced by the National Health Service, York, England, and consists of enhanced abstracts of review articles on questions of diagnosis, prevention, rehabilitation, screening, and treatment. EBM Reviews searches the ACP Journal Club, Cochrane, and DARE databases simultaneously.
