Services
The Lane Library Circulation Department exists to serve the Armstrong community. Students, faculty and staff of the University System of Georgia, as well as members of the Armstrong Alumni Association, are all welcome at Lane Library and enjoy borrowing privileges as described below. Library patrons must show an AASU ID card or other photo identification. No library card is required.
The circulation staff is here to ensure that library patrons quickly and easily find needed materials and that they receive knowledgeable and friendly assistance in all circulation functions. These include circulation of print materials, Reserves, Interlibrary Loan, GIL Express, and Electronic Reserves.
The circulation desk for books, videos, and other media materials is located near the entrance to the building.
If you have questions about circulation policies, please call the Circulation Department at 344-3027, or e-mail your question to Ann Fuller, department head, at: ann.fuller@armstrong.edu.

Overdues, Fines, & Lost Materials
There is no fine for overdue materials returned within 30 days. Books more than 30 days overdue are assumed lost, and patrons are billed for replacement charges plus a $10.00 processing fee. The patron's borrowing privileges will be suspended until all fines are paid. If the overdue item is located and returned, the patron is billed $5.00 for hold removal and full borrowing privileges will be restored.
Hold Requests
A hold request may be placed on any circulating item that is checked out to another patron. When the book comes in, the patron who placed the hold request will be notified and the book will be held for one week, after which it is returned to the shelf. Hold requests must be done in person at the Circulation Desk.
Confidentiality
To protect the reading privacy of library patrons, names of individuals or details concerning the materials they have checked out are confidential.
