What is a University Archives?
A place to store, preserve and make available to researchers the historical record of the Armstrong Atlantic State University. For more information, read our mission statement.

The Head of Special Collections and University Archives is Caroline Hopkinson. Her office phone number is (912) 344-3019.
Who may use the University Archives?
Anyone with questions that the archival records can answer. All researchers must fill out a research application and agree to follow the rules for using archival records.
What are the charges for photocopies?
All photocopying is done by University Archives staff. Researchers are charged 10 cents per page and $1 for handling. See the section of the reference service policies about reproduction of materials.
What are your hours?
The University Archives is open by appointment. To arrange an appointment, contact the Head of Special Collections and University Archives.
How do I get started with my research?
A good first step might be to read Dr. Janet Stone's historical sketch of the University. Also, use the University Archive's Finding Aid to identify box and file numbers for records likely to answer your questions or contain information needed for your research topic. Caroline Hopkinson can answer questions about the Archives holdings and suggest research strategies for the subject.
